Obedience - Intermediate / Canine Good Citizen (CGC)
Intermediate Obedience - 4:00 PM

This class is the next step between Canine Good Citizen and Novice I. It is more advanced and will include the figure eight, stand, and finishes. Beginner obedience skills will be practiced.
Prerequisite: Completion of Beginner Obedience, CGC / Intermediate class or equivalent skill level.

Equipment:
- All collars are acceptable, except no e-collars. Your instructor recommends a flat or buckle collar
- 6 foot leash, NO retractable leashes
- Big towel (mat or bath rug preferred) for your dog to lay down
Handler equipment:
- A treat bag or pockets to put your dog’s food in
- Plenty of food for your dog. It can be their daily food allowance and/or treats. The more variety the better! (NO treats that are oily, flaky, or crumbly)
*TIP: have the food ready cut into pinky nail size bites.
- Water bowl and water for you & your dog
- Comfy shoes and clothing
Cancellation/Refund Policy
- Cancellation of a class for any reason BEFORE the first class date of a session will be refunded minus our coursestorm and credit card fees (currently about $13)
- There are NO REFUNDS for any cancellations AFTER the first class of a session.
- There will be NO REFUNDS or pro-rating for any classes missed after the start date of the first class of any given session.
- Transfers to a more skill appropriate class in the same session before or after the class start date may be possible with approval and subject to space availability. Please contact us.
CGC / Intermediate Obedience - 5:00 PM

This class is for students who wish to prepare their dog for the CGC required behaviors as well as for students who just want to advance their dog's obedience skills to a higher level, e.g., longer stays, duration attention, focused heeling, ignoring distractions, emergency stop and rock solid recall. Food rewards are used; however, students will learn how to wean off food rewards through the use of engagement and play.
STAR Puppy Program: Students in this class with this specific instructor and a dog under 12 months are eligible for the AKC S.T.A.R. puppy program. Ask the instructor for details.
