Beginner Obedience - 7:00 PM
with Ani Elmaoglu

This course will guide you through all the basics to help you teach your dog the right skills from the beginning. You’ll learn about equipment, how to use commands, praise, and release to encourage good behavior, and even how to move your feet to communicate better with your dog. We’ll also cover how dogs learn and understand, plus teach your pup key skills like “sit,” “stay,” and walking nicely on a leash.
AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Program: If your dog is under 12 months old, you’re in luck! This class gives you the foundation to test for the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Program. Ask your instructor for all the details and let’s make your dog a star!
Price: $140 + 2.50 registration fee for 7 week session, classes are held on Tuesdays
Prerequisite: Dog must be 16 weeks or older on the first day of class and not agressive.

Equipment:
- All collars are acceptable, except no prong or e-collars. Your instructor recommends a flat / buckle or martingale collar.
- 6 foot leash, NO retractable leashes
- Big towel (mat or bath rug preferred) for your dog to lay down
Handler equipment:
- A treat bag or pockets to put your dog’s food in
- Plenty of food for your dog. It can be their daily food allowance and/or treats. The more variety the better! (NO treats that are oily, flaky, or crumbly)
*TIP: have the food ready cut into pinky nail size bites.
- Water bowl and water for you & your dog
- Comfy shoes and clothing
Cancellation/Refund Policy
- Cancellation of a class for any reason BEFORE the first class date of a session will be refunded minus our coursestorm and credit card fees (currently about $13)
- There are NO REFUNDS for any cancellations AFTER the first class of a session.

CGC / Intermediate Obedience - 7:00 PM

This class is designed for dog owners who want to prepare their dog for the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) required behaviors or those looking to enhance their dog's obedience skills. Key training areas include longer stays, duration attention, focused heeling, ignoring distractions, emergency stop, and rock-solid recall. Food rewards are used initially, but students will also learn how to transition away from food rewards by incorporating engagement and play into training.
Ask your instructor for more information about the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Program and about testing for the AKC CGC certificate.
Price: $140 + 2.50 registration fee for 7 week session, classes are held on Tuesdays

Intro to Novice Obedience - 7:00 PM

This class is a great next step to continue your obedience journey. Skills will be practiced to improve the pace adjustment of the dog to the handler, ability for the dog to remain in place away from the handler and quicker response times. Exercises include: Heal on Leash, Figure Eight, Sit for Exam, Sit Stay and Recall.
Price: $140 + 2.50 registration fee for 7 week session, classes are held on Tuesdays
Prerequisite: Proficient in skills taught in Beginner Obedience and CGC / Intermediate class.

Rally Novice, Intermediate - 7:00 PM

Rally is a unique dog sport that emphasizes teamwork between you and your dog. Together, you will navigate a course at your own brisk pace, working side-by-side to complete various exercises.

Rally offers a clear path for you and your dog to grow together in training. The levels are designed to match your progress and build skills step-by-step:
Rally Novice / Intermediate: The perfect starting point, where you and your dog work together on-leash, 10-17 signs.
Rally Advanced, Excellent, and Master: These levels transition to off-leash work, allowing for even more freedom and advanced skills as you and your dog master each challenge, 15-20 signs..
Whether you’re just starting or looking to take your teamwork to the next level, there’s a Rally level for every stage of your journey.

ScentWork Level 3 - Novice/Intermediate - 7:00 PM

This class is designed for dogs who are already working with odor and/or pairing and want to refine their skills for AKC Scent Work and other trialing organizations.
In this class, dog and handler teams will focus on improving key skills such as change of behaviors, reward timing, leash handling, handler body movement, and enhancing the dog's drive to odor. Whether you're preparing for a Scent Work competition or simply want to elevate your dog's abilities, this class will help strengthen your performance in the ring.
Prerequisite: Referral from ScentWork Beginning I & II instructor or equivalent experience and dogs should recognize more than one odor.

ScentWork Level 4 - Intermediate/Advanced - 7:00 PM

Teams will learn to identify and indicate specific scents used by AKC and other organizations.. Team handling and proficiency with handler body movement, alert recognition, and timing will be refined. Proficiency with these techniques will lead to AKC Scent Work and other trialing organization titles.

Show Conformation - 6:00 PM - Individual Single Classes - Session 5

Ready to compete! Conformation class is an opportunity for handlers and their dog to have a simulated show ring experience. The first and most important thing to bring to class is you - happy and enthusiastic. Conformation showing will be easy after that.
Dogs in this class should be a breed recognized by the AKC and your dog is already registered with the AKC.
NOTE:
- Almost ready for participating in obedience trials, we suggest our Ring Ready or Run Throughs class
- This is not an obedience training class, see our class offering for Obedience training
- This is for registering for individual single classes. You can choose each class date you would like to attend and pay for each individually. There is also a 7 week discounted session available
Individual classes registered in advance on the website are $15 plus a $1.99 coursestorm service fee. You can also pay at the venue on the date of class by scanning a QR code; however, classes will be $25. Pre-paid classes here are significantly discounted.
Equipment:
- Training collar (slip collar)
- 4 to 6 foot leather leash
- Dog crate - optional
Handler Equipment:
- Soft treats (bait). Note: Don't feed your dog within three hours of training.
- Dog Toy, preferably on a rope/string
As time goes on, the collar, leash, and feeding time may change.
Cancellation/Refund Policy:
- Cancellations will only be accepted up to two days before the start of class. Any refunds will be minus our costs for coursestorm fees (currently about $3 coursestorm fee for each individual classes)
- There will be NO REFUNDS or pro-rating for any classes missed
