Santa Clara Dog Training Club

Our Trick Dog class is a fun, fast moving class. About twenty tricks will be introduced including favorites like crawl, tug, touch, paws up, balance something on the nose, fetch, spin and twirl, jump over (a low hoop or stick).

Beyond learning tricks, this class provides:

• Owner and dog bonding and communication

•  Patience with your dog and the sense of accomplishment when you’ve got it!

• Great dinner party dog tricks to show off for friends and family

This class will prepare you and your dog for an AKC Trick Dog title, or you can simply enjoy bonding and working with your dog without the pressure of earning a title. Visit the AKC website to understand the different Trick Dog titles available to earn.

Price:  $140 + 2.50 registration fee for 7 week session, classes are held on Tuesdays. 

Prerequisite:  Successful completion of Beginner Obedience class or equivalent skill level.

What to bring to class: Flat, martingale, or slip collar, exactly a 6 foot leash, high value treats, treat pouch, water, mat/rug and a positive attitude! No e-collars or retractable leash.  A variety of items such as a hula hoop, a button or push bell, a box large enough for your dog to get in.  Each class we will discuss what to bring to the next class and may vary by student.

Cancellation & Refunds: 

Cancellations made the day before the first class of a session are eligible for a refund, minus processing fees (currently about $13). No refunds, credits, or prorated fees are available once a session has started, including for missed classes.

Registration is limited to one handler per dog. Any additional handler registrations for the same dog will be canceled and refunded, minus fees.
