Novice I - 6:00 PM
with Dave Signorotti
$140
The Novice class is intended for those handlers who wish to perfect their obedience exercises beyond the Canine Good Citizen level. The class is aimed at Beginner Novice (BN) and AKC Novice Companion Dog (CD) handlers. The Novice class will cover on-leash heeling and figure of eight, as well as off-leash heeling. In addition, the recall exercise, the BN "leave your dog and walk around the ring", and sit and stand for exam are included. Students will practice group sits and downs (1 minute each), and "handler leave your dog to get your leash". The goal of this class is to teach exercises that lead to getting the AKC Beginner Novice title. This class often is repeated.
Prerequisite: Beginners and/or Intermediate. This class is more advanced than Intermediate/CGC and introduces off-lead recalls along with finishes.
