Santa Clara Dog Training Club

The course begins to train you to train your dog. Basic obedience skills are introduced. Topics include correct equipment, commands/praise/release, proper footwork, how dogs communicate/learn, sit/stay, walking on a leash. 

Requirements: Dog must be at least 5 months of age or older and not agressive.

Equipment: No retractable leashes. Harnesses are discouraged, but at the discretion of the instructor.

4-6' slip leads, choke collar, humane choke collar (martingale collar), buckle collars are allowed. Pinches are allowed if they are already using one.

Come to class with your dog hungry. Soft treats (hot dogs sliced to size of a nickel, whole pieces of string cheese, or any other soft treat your dog LOVES).
